Thank you for stopping by my blog and commenting. Interesting name you have there! Mine is often mispronounced as delaney, but is actually elaine with a d on the front. Haven't come across too many of us with this name or derivation.

Mine is an old family name. How about you? And you're right-I rarely hear this name/derivative and when I do, it's mostly young children. Best regards.

It's a funny story--my sister was a junior in high school and brought home her yearbook. oNe of the students was named Delaine, and my mother laughingly said, "if I ever had another girl, I'd name her Delaine." By Christmas she was pregnant and I was the girl! My brother and sister are 20 and 17 years older than me.
